The Ernest Hemingway Foundation of Oak Park announces the overall winner and finalists for the 2026 Hemingway Shorts Competition

The Ernest Hemingway Foundation of Oak Park is pleased to announce the overall winner and finalists for the 2026 Hemingway Shorts Literary Journal Competition. 

This anthology series seeks to spark new interest in the craft of writing through the works of emerging writers, including those who have never been published. The overall winner receives a $1,000 award and publication of their short story along with the other finalists in the eleventh edition of Hemingway Shorts.
